UX Research

I want to help make products and services make sense to the people who use them.

My go-to research methods are interviews and usability testing, but I also do my share of sketches, wireframes, personas, journey maps, card sorts, heuristic reviews, competitive/peer analysis, and surveys.

Collaboration

I admire those who create, and love to partner with developers, designers, and content producers to iterate and test solutions with real users who are willing to be brutally honest.

UX Writing and Editing

I focus on words, phrases, meanings, context, and connotations. I strive for brevity, but occasionally fall short…

Learning

With a communications degree from Northwestern and a Certified Usability Analyst designation from Human Factors International, my curiosity pushes me to continue exploring through online classes, workshops, and meetups.

One of the things I enjoy most about user research is that we always learn something, and sometimes it’s not at all what we expected.

Adaptability

I’m always open to new methods, approaches, perspectives, and opinions…
I just try not to be so open-minded that things start falling out.
